Welcome to Fruits of Galilee online!
"...the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase." (Ezek. 34:27)
Fruits of Galilee Preserves and Marmalades are the fruits of love hand made by devoted Christians who have formed a community on the blessed hills of Mount Carmel. We came from Europe and North America to the Holy Land, the birthplace of Jesus, some six decades ago and now live in the historic old towns of Zichron Yaakov and Binyamina. We reside among our Jewish friends and neighbors, basing our lives on the Bible and the principles of modesty, harmony and equality. Living from the blessings of the land, we make our delicious preserves and marmalades out of fruits harvested from the very same sacred soil that Jesus and the disciples walked.
Fruits of Galilee preserves and marmalades are made from the finest Holy Land fruit, harvested at the peak of flavor from the mountains and valleys of the Galilee. From Carmel, Judea, and the beautiful Plain of Sharon, come recipes handed from generation to generation. They now come to your table prepared to perfection, using these time-honored and traditional family recipes, and only the finest spices and natural flavors to enrich the already marvelous taste of the ripe fruit.
Fruits of Galilee is one way to help fulfill the promise of the land and its people. Among the products of the Holy Land you will find the best of biblical fruits (Deut. 8:8): figs from the mountains of Ephraim and Judea, and pomegranates from the Galilee. Other fruits have come here as seeds from the four corners of the earth to take root and flourish in the sacred soil, just as Fruits of Galilee has been privileged to see its people do, in fulfillment of prophecy (Isa. 43:6; Zeph. 3:20). Thus, the Galilee now includes in its bounty blackberries, peaches and apricots, and from the Plain of Sharon a plentiful harvest of strawberries, oranges and grapefruits. In the making of its products, Fruits of Galilee provides livelihoods for many farmers who tend to the soil as well as artisans and many others who are building their lives in the Promised Land. Thus, Fruits of Galilee makes a significant contribution to the agriculture and economy of the Holy Land. |
